NCPA Continuing Fight to Move DIRs to Point of Sale

National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) is continuing to urge CMS to adopt the proposed changes to DIR fees. NCPA led an effort along with pharmacy stakeholders and Senators in Washington to generate support for a letter expressing bipartisan support to CMS for its approach to pharmacy DIR fees.

The letter was organized by U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia and Jon Tester of Montana. 21 Senators signed on to endorse the letter including Kansas Senator Jerry Moran.

The letter reportedly made news around Washington having been picked up by Politico and Inside Health Policy less than an hour after its announcement.

KPSC is working diligently with NCPA and will continue to do so until the DIR fee proposal becomes a reality.
