Last night, KPSC held its annual Entrepreneurial Opportunities Group (EOG) presentation with student-members of the NCPA chapter group at the KU School of Pharmacy.

For the sixth year in a row, a representative from the RxOwnership branch of McKesson came and presented to the students. This year it was Regional Manager, Nick Secrest, who graciously came and addressed the students.

The purpose of this presentation is to inform students who are wishing to pursue a KPSC/EOG scholarship about the financial responsibilities of being a pharmacist. Some of the items Nick touched on was how to review a balance sheet, income statements, and cash flow statements. He also spoke about how to value a pharmacy practice.

This event is always well attended by the students and provides them with the opportunity to learn more about the business side of being a pharmacist.
